Creating a Modern and Elegant Living Space

The design concept for the show flats focused on creating a modern contemporary lifestyle in an elegant way. Despite limited space, the flats achieved multi-functionalization in each area, utilizing a large scale of champagne gold mirror glass to maximize the space. One of the show flats embraced the theme color of Living Coral, incorporating it into various design details to attract fashion-forward young couples.

The highlight of the unit was the extraordinary double-sided art piece-shelf, separating the space with bronze stainless steel and remarkable marble. The flowing lines integrated into another show flat, igniting a modern language in a practical way.

The one-bedroom show flat measures 299 sqf, while the two-bedroom show flat measures 421 sqf.

When entering the show flat, visitors are greeted by a corridor adorned with a large-scale tawny glass mirror. The open-flat design divides the bedroom and living area with a full-height see-through art decoration partition, creating a sense of artistry in the transition areas.

The project started in March 2019 and was completed in August 2019 in Hong Kong. It opened to the public in October 2019.

For the two-bedroom show flat, the designer incorporated Living Coral, the 2019 theme color, into various design details. The one-bedroom unit aimed to create a modern contemporary lifestyle in an elegant way, achieving multi-functionalization in each area to maximize the sense of space.

One of the challenges faced was delivering the message our client wished to convey to young professionals and couples for their future homes. The designer successfully blended modern and elegant design elements, creating an unforgettable design pattern. Italian furniture and stainless steel were used to increase the aesthetic value and highlight the details.

The design team chose the living coral tone as the theme color for the unit, complemented by exquisite artwork decorations on a display shelf. The space is adorned with a decorative champagne gold mirror, echoing the wooden strip feature wall behind the sofa. Stainless steel accents and a luxury modern style complete the overall design.

The Ocean Coral show flat design was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2020 for its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach. This award recognizes creations that meet professional and industrial requirements, integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, ultimately contributing to a better world.
